GRADY COUNTY, GEORGIA (September 26, 2025) – A pedestrian has tragically died following a Grady County car accident involving a pickup truck on Walter Lane.
Grady County officials are saying that the accident took place around 4:30 p.m. on September 21, 2025. A woman was reportedly operating a Can-Am side-by-side.
She allegedly reversed the vehicle and unintentionally pinned a pedestrian to a Chevy 2500 pickup truck. Paramedics were called to the scene of the collision to help the victim.
The male pedestrian sustained critical injuries in the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene. A full investigation into the collision remains ongoing at this time.
Every driver in Georgia has a legal obligation to exercise due care to avoid collisions. Pursuant to O.C.G.A. § 40-6-93, “Notwithstanding other provisions of this chapter, every driver of a vehicle shall exercise due care to avoid colliding with any pedestrian upon any roadway, shall give warning by sounding his horn when necessary, and shall exercise proper precautions upon observing any child or any obviously confused, incapacitated, or intoxicated person.” Drivers should take several actions to avoid colliding with pedestrians.
