Most importantly, Tom works hard to win. He has a proven track record of success both in and out of the courtroom. He has won millions of dollars in verdicts and settlements for his clients.
Before Tom dedicated his law practice entirely to helping people with serious personal injury and wrongful death cases, he also represented clients in child custody, divorce, and criminal defense cases. Tom believes that this experience has made him a more well-rounded lawyer. While practicing in state and federal courts in southeast Georgia, he earned a reputation for honesty, integrity, and fairness among judges and opposing counsel.
As a former track and cross-country athlete, Tom approaches case work and trial preparation like training for a race. That means getting out and doing the hard work, whether that is pounding the pavement for miles or reviewing scores of documents, interviewing witnesses, and maintaining focus for months or even years before crossing the finish line. Although he is no marathon runner, Tom still goes the extra mile for his clients.
Tom is a Double Dawg, having earned both his law degree and undergraduate degrees from the University of Georgia. In law school, he tried his first jury trial as a student prosecutor with the Oconee County District Attorney’s Office. Tom is an active member of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association and graduate of the association’s Leadership Education & Advanced Direction (LEAD) Program. Outside of the office, he volunteers as a mock trial coach at Walton High School.
