Truck Accident Case – Deposition of Driver of Bucket Truck

Our firm recently settled a truck accident case against a large utility company for a confidential sum. Our investigation revealed that the company had repeatedly ignored a mechanical problem with its truck, which caused the truck’s speed to be limited to 5 miles per hour. Despite knowingly operating the broken-down truck on a four-lane US highway at dawn, the company blamed our client for the accident. Our client, who was driving at the speed limit of 65 miles per hour, only had a few seconds to perceive and react to the truck’s unexpected low speed and was unable to avoid rear-ending the truck.
